HALO 3! Failed to load map?
Lately when I've been trying play Halo 3 and it loads everything bu t the Maps, Videos, and Matchmaking. When I try to go into forge or Matchmaking or watch a video it always says Failed to Load map. Also my XBOX has been making loud noises too. I dont have a modded XBOX and the disk is nice and not scratched. Can anyone tell me how to fix it please.
P.S. Yes I like COD4 and think its better than Halo 3 (Definitely not Halo 2) so no "take it out and put in COD4" comments.

Almost sounds like your dvd drive is going bad. If your system is standing vertical try laying it horizontal and see if it helps. Please make sure before you move your Xbox that there is no DVD in the tray or it very well may scratch it and ruin it!

Halo 3 - How to create and get random people join my cutom game?
So I've been playing Halo 3 online for a bit now, just by going to matchmaking and joining random games. However I want to be able to create a game (for example: a capture the flag on a particular level) and then I want to people to join my game but I can't figure out how to do it.
I've been to custom games created a game of my own, even added friends to my party and thats fine but then how do you get random people to join in the game? I have it set to open party (xbox live). All it allows me to do is start the game with the party I have, and doesn't add people like in matchmaking.
Please help me am I doing something wrong?

You find them on the right hand tab of your message/freinds screen. Just keep inviting them all and eventually some people will turn up.
Note: To have people on your recently met list you have to have played with other people in the past few days.

Sometimes I see players and people with the same name but with (1) , (2) , etc. I've heard you have to sign up as a guest but when I do it on matchmaking it doesnt work....So what I need is a step-by-step to know how i have to exactly do this. Don't just tell me go to matchmaking, press the guide button and signup as a guest, cause it wont work.

Reply:I've always thought that a good matchmaking site would proceed as follows: Members are limited to matches within their zip code, you browse profiles anonymously, you click "Interested" also anonymously, and if a member happens upon your profile and also clicks "Interested," you are notified and a match is made! This wouldn't work, of course, if members are not limited to zip code or area code, because the likelihood of a mutual "Interest" would be very slim. As well, it's all anonymous so you can click "Interested" without fear of rejection, because they will never know you did unless they also click the button on your profile.
The only dilemma would be in making sure that a person who does click the button actually fulfills the obligation to date the person.

curious about this because I have never received an answer about this specific topic. I have absolutely no problem with local matchamaking sites. Sure, there are issues like socially handicapped people but there are also normal individuals looking for another way to help expand our social circle, in addition to all old ways. international matchmaking seems promising but also different.
I am easy going and not very selective (about things I do not consider critical) so in a way I am quite comfortable with settling for someone I do not know as well as someone one has dated in person for months, even for a lifelong committment like marriage. I know what I want ... and what I do not. The home front has not yielded anything and after soul searching, not seriously exploring other options seems like lacking motivation and ability to take a risk.

What do you do if your Rise of Nations: Gold Edition multiplayer is not working?
When I click on the GameSpy Internet Matchmaking, the menu disappears for a moment. It looks like it might connect to the multiplayer lobby, but then the menu just pops right back up. When I click on GameSpy Internet Matchmaking again, when the menu disappears, it just reappears faster than the time before. I have a stable Internet connection, my DirectX is updated, my firewall isn't interfering with the connection, and Rise of Nations: Gold Edition is fully updated. Can someone please help me?!?

I don't think so...I'm pretty sure it would be a little embarrassing and not to mention uncomfortable telling everyone you had an e-match (I made up a website) account for a year and a half and finally ended up meeting your partner by just finding out you like doing the same hobbies as her/him. There are many other ways to do this. I would suggest this as your COMPLETE last resort!

i just got my xbox live and i went to matchmaking to play. i figured out how to use the stuff in matchmaking. once i played my 7th game i went to apperence to change my armour. IT WAS ALL GONE! i went to my saved maps. ALL GONE! then i just relized that i made a new account that has xbox live. i went to my other file (tthat has no xbox live) and i tryed to play matchmakin but it said i need xbox live on it. How please how can i choose my file with all my stuff and armour in it and get it to have xbox live? i dont want to start all over, i worked so hard.

I offered my kidney as prospective kidney donor. The ultrasound revealed that my kidney was normal and the nephrologist suggested matchmaking. But since my wife was neither agreeable to dialysis nor transplant, the matchmaking was not performed. Now my question is that if in future she agrees for transplant are there any kidney banks like blood banks and can my kidney be exchanged with the kidney whose matchmaking tallies with kideny of my wife in case matchmaking of our kidneys does not tally. Does she realize that it is much better to be on dialysis and be somewhat healthy so that when she needs the transplant, that she'll have a greater chance of recovery?
The best donors for your wife are sisters and brothers, after that it's parents and other relatives. A non-relative can donate even if they aren't the same blood type. If they aren't a good match, there are other ways of swapping for a good match.

Kidney Center so that she can be assessed medically if indeed she needs a kidney transplant or not at all. From there also, you will be apprised what to do. I hope %26amp; pray your wife gets well. You are a devoted husband and you trully love her. You should be rewarded for your unselfish love %26amp; devotion. God bless.

Ok, whenever I go to matchmaking, then start matchmaking it has the 5 second countdown then once it gets to 0 seconds, it stays like that. it doesnt freeze, it just wont go to the matchmaking process. Like, I can press B to go back to the menu but it wont get to the matchmaking process.

to play the new maps in matchmaking you'll have to play in the dlc games, they will be mixed in a little into regular matchmaking but i wouldn't expect to see them because everyone in the game would have to have them and then they would have to come up in rotation

Is it possible to be permanently booted from halo 3 matchmaking because of betraying people too much?
No. You can only be banned from a game for betraying a person but not from matchmaking in general. The only "punishment" as I'm sure you know is a long respawn, not being banned from matchmaking.

I play Call of Duty 4 on my 360 and I cant find ANY matches in matchmaking...?
My friends will find a match by themseves in like 30 seconds, but if I do it alone or with one of my friends it will take at least 10 minutes to find anything and usually it will push me out of the game...PLEASE HELP ME!!!

You most likely have a bad internet connection check if your internet provider acutally features XBox live and the speed of your connection

MS Access Project, trying to get access to perform matchmaking?
I'm working on a project where we have to use access to create a mini eharmony type database. We have the basic tables and stuff set up, but don't know how to make access query based on what each person who enters their profile into the database. We have about 6 different "dimensions", and we want to basically make it so that it brings back the best matches.
Of course this has to be automated, not us manualy creating a new query for each person. This a project for a beginning college access class, so most of us are learning access for the first time. Is there a webpage or technique we can look up to help us out.
It's a level one class and we are not expected to write code or anything like that. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

(In other words you can't just do a "SELECT person FROM clients WHERE dimension1 = 'other person's choice' AND dimension2 = 'other person's choice' AND dimension3...") So you'd have to take the first person and then select people who match on dimension #1 and store them somewhere, then do it again for dimension 2,3,4... then see who shows up the most times when you combine all those difference result sets (i.e. who matches in the most dimensions - so "SELECT other_client_id, count(matches) from dimension_match WHERE client_id = 1 ORDER BY count(matches) DESC LIMIT 5" to get the top 5 potential matches). Can't really be more specific without knowing how your database tables are setup.
You'd automate it by creating queries that just get the appropriate variables (probably a client id) substituted in. So perhaps a form where you choose the person and then hit "Find Matches" and some background code that runs the appropriate queries, does the counting and spits out the best matches in a datagrid.

You have to come in 1st place and beat people with higher rank points. You can earn skill points and finishing in the top 3.

May be possible that you have a silver membership. A gold membership is required to play with other players on Xbox Live. Check that out.

How do you earn skill points fast on matchmaking? Halo 3?
I'm tying to rank up fast and i need skill because i don't want to get 300 EXP! Do i have to win alot of games, in the top 3? I'm not sure. I'm playing in the ranked playlist(Lone wolves) but all i'm getting is EXP! Please help!!!!!!!!!!

There are many metal opts. and many people don't play it. If you want to play lone wolf witch is another good choice you get a skill point if you come in first and second without losing.

If someone lags in the game theyre game would glitch causing them to be viewed or treated as doing/being somewhere in the game that they wernt.. so everyone in the game has to have theyre speed slowed down to adjust to the slowest player in order for "smoother" and more accurate game play

Well I've been playing alot latley trying to get a rank of Lt. but to get there I need to get 10 skill. I currently have 8, and to be honst I have no idea how i got that. He called me briefly to say hi and when I asked to meet him for coffee - he told me he will be busy the whole week with work and study but will be available this Sat for coffee. So I agreed. But last week after talking to him - I asked for more pictures since in the match site the pic is very small and only of face. He never replied my email in a week. But then tonight he wrote to me "I'm not sure why you asked me for more photos after I agreed to meet you in person. That tells me that you probably want to look at some more photos and then possibly do a rethink. In any case, I would like to give you some more time. As for me, I would rather be watching the World Cup Final tomorrow".
So he just cancelled our date for coffee to say this. I think I would not give him another chance - What Do you Think?

its ur rank in whatever catagory ur in. for example u could kill every1 with ur friends and have a 15 point skill in team slayer. but when u play alone, u lose everytime.maybe why u have 4..when u get 70 experience points, u need atleast a skill of 10 to advance to corpal. dont really worry about it.

Realy quick explanation with maybe a few wording errors. Her name was Psyche and it was a ridiculous accident. She was so beautiful that she took all the attention away from Venus. Venus decided to get revenge by having a son, Cupid, and telling him to torture Psyche. Cupid gave Psyche a drug and when she suddenly awoke she saw Cupid even though he was invisible. Cupid was so suprised he stuck himself with one of his arrows. You can guess what happened then. It is quite an interesting story actually and it gets better but I will let you read about it for yourself.

Keep playing team slayer. To get your skill up, you have to win first. And second you actually have to do good. You cant have three kills and expect to get your highest skill up.
