Call of Duty 4 matchmaking not working?

I just got the game and I try to play multiplayer online, so I do the search for games thing and it just sits there and it doesnt seem to be finding games, even though it says there are people online. Any1 else havin this problem? the date right now is november 23, and i heard some people had these problems all the way back to november 7. are their servers just down or somethin?

For ps3 all you have to do is exit out, and come back in ..


Check internet connection because (for example) if its raining it will be a little lagging thus not being able to connect.
Reply:im having this exact problem right now, and halo 3 is working so you are not alone
Reply:I'm not sure because I'm currently not on COD4, I was on earlier and It was working just fine. I would have to say that it's server issues or something. I've had similar problems before...
Reply:Yeah, this happened to me before, but it said it was "downloading content" or something. I waited it out, turned it off, restarted it and it lets me play multilayer. It's been working so far.
