What is the point with internet matchmaking?

I was on teenspot.com today, and signed up for an account thinking maybe by some fluke i'd meet the girl of my dreams. Then I realized, every good looking girl has 100 comments from guys with no shirts on for their dp harassing them. If wanted to talk to her, I'd just be mixed in with those other perv guys.





Does anyone have a different point of view? Maybe I'll just try harder in the real world haha.





btw, i'm not a loner thats looking for girls to talk to on these sites, but i just go to a small school and i wish i could meet some more people

What is the point with internet matchmaking?
Judging by the comments I have heard from women, if you literally "keep your shirt on" and post a detailed, well thought out profile, you WILL stand out from the pack.
Reply:I met my very serious boyfriend online. We were not on a dating site just a fellowship site. We started as friends and when we realized we both liked each other we started spending a lot more time together getting to know each other even better.





Since we live many miles apart it is a long distance relationship which is not for everyone.

Reply:The reason I don't mess with internet matchmaking/ dating is that I like to do see and interact one on one, not someone who may be a fake and say whatever it is they think I like to hear.
Reply:Why not try face to face meeting young ladies instead of the internet. Go to the skating rink, mall, ball game, movies, etc.... good lord, there are hords of teen agers -- you have to climb through them. How is it that you can't even find one?
Reply:Well personally i think Internet dating is pointless. For all you know the pictures may not even be the girl. Some ways i meet girls are by going to the pool and mall with a group of three guys. If you have 2 guys it looks a little weird = D and you dont want to go alone. But if you have too many guys it may be intimidating to the girls.

because you really dont KNOW the girl ur talking to on the internet and its not the same talking on the internet when you could be holding hands in the park u dont get the same experience hope this addvice helped
Reply:I think the point is that you pay money to sign in to meet someone and the owner of the site gets the money. Some say that if you do not meet someone that you will get six more months free.
