Reality TV matchmaking, say it ain't so?

If you believe the BS, and the hype. It is said an average guy can land a hottie it all comes down to his winning personality. If he was witty, had charm, was intelligent. And it would not make much difference what he looked like. If that were REALLY so, how come these reality TV shows like "Age of Love", "Science of Love", "The Bachelor", etc. The object man all the women are after is usuall tall, overly handsome, successful etc. Why is he not mid to late 30s, slighly chunky, hair thinning, and work loading the dock graveyard at Best Buy? Why? Is because they would not get any hot attractive women wanting to be on the show. And a show where you have a man like that, would only have pear shaped chunky women vying for him and it would be as lifeless as Atacama, and just as dry. Certainly if is survived the 1st comercial break it would soon evaporate quicker than a bead of water on the hood of a black Camero in 110 deg heat. Say it ain't so?

It's all about the ratings! Sex and good looks sell the shows, so that's why everyone is a hottie, looking for another hottie to be with. Not at all like 'real life'; yet that's our dose of "reality tv".
Reply:sorry to bust your bubble(on the hood of a black camero) , but beauty and sexy sell a lot better than average. these television executives are in a business, they don't care who they exploit. these men and women who go on these shows are in it for their 15 minutes of fame. for me i wouldn't dare date a man that is dating and kissing 15 other women. it's weird. hope i shed some light on your (????).
